In total, 2 million copies of new OS have been sold within a few days. Leopard became the most successful release of the company. Before all records was beaten by version Mac OS X - Tiger.
It is very complicated to compare a sales level of new OS with the same parameter for Vista. Microsoft has informed about the achievements only after a month after the beginning of sales - for this period about 20 million licenses of Vista were sold.
However, Microsoft grows above itself: Windows XP in due time was much worse in sale - 17 million copies within first two months.
