New large-format color plotter Xerox 7142 appeared in Russia. Device is developed specially for work in appendices; there the greater role is given to high speed and profitability of a printing.
Xerox 7142 provides the sanction of printing from 360 up to 2880 points on inch, time of a printing of the drawing of А1 format - 44 seconds. The newest technology of a printing head of a jet press which allows to supervise the size of each drop of a paint and create more precise thin lines and contours even at the low sanction is realized in Xerox 7142.
Technology of the variable drops size allows using inexpensive paper without a covering for creation of control drawings in the low sanction, and at high sanctions - images of high quality for presentation materials and artworks.
Printing heads of a jet press do not demand replacement, and it raises reliability of the printer and cuts down expenses on its service.
