“This year’s DISTREE Russia & CIS coincides with the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF),” explained Frederic Simard, President & Co-founder at DISTREE Events. “With this in mind, we have relocated the event to a venue closer to the main airport and primary transport links. This will help delegates avoid any congestion or traffic delays related to SPIEF in the city.”
DISTREE Russia & CIS will also begin and end one day later than previously announced, beginning on the morning of Thursday 21st June and finishing on the morning of Saturday June 23rd. The Pulkovskaya Radisson Hotel, which offers 800-plus guest rooms, is situated on the famous Moskovsky Avenue and benefits from its proximity to both the heart of the city and the main airport, making it an ideal location for DISTREE Russia & CIS.
“Based on feedback from last year’s event, many of our international delegates wanted to combine their participation at DISTREE Russia & CIS with visits to some of St. Petersburg’s many cultural attractions,” added Simard. “By scheduling this year’s event to finish on Saturday morning, this will make it much easier for delegates to spend the weekend in the historic centre of St. Petersburg, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Centre.”
The Pulkovskaya Radisson Hotel’s facilities include a state-of-the-art congress centre. The new venue offers the perfect platform for high-level channel networking and business development during the three-day event. With facilities such as Paulaner, the city’s largest Bavarian restaurant, located on site, the DISTREE Russia & CIS agenda will feature a compelling mix of professional networking opportunities and social functions.
Delegates from the business channel attending DISTREE Russia & CIS include corporate resellers, systems integrators, solutions providers, VARs and ISVs from across the Russia & CIS region. The consumer channel delegates consist of retailers, e-tailers, mass merchants and independent outlets.
During last year’s event delegates took part in more than 1,800 pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings, driving new and expanded channel agreements within the market. DISTREE Russia & CIS also features research houses such as GfK and CONTEXT offering insight into local market conditions, plus breakout sessions, forums and awards programmes.
“DISTREE Russia & CIS is the ultimate event for vendors looking to launch, build or manage channels in the fast-growing Russia & CIS region,” explained Simard. “Bringing together hundreds of channel companies in one place for one event provides an incredible opportunity for vendors to achieve real business benefits in a short space of time.”
