LG Electronics Starts LCD-TV Production in Russia

LG Electronics have announced the start of production of LCD-TVs of 2009 model range in Russia.

The modern TV sets will be produced at LG home appliances and consumer electronics plant in Ruza (Moscow region) covering 59ha. To date, the production facility is the largest in Europe to produce accessories, home machines, plazma and LCD-TVs.

Starting in April, the plant will launch production of Full HD LCD-TVs of the LH3000, LH4000, and LH5000 series. Launching the new lineup of TVs, LG Electronics confirms its commitment to the Russian market and readiness to continue working in Russia. Due to zero import tax for LCD panels brought in Russia, consumers will benefit buying products produced domestically.

Components for the production in Ruza are supplied from China, Korea, Poland, Taiwan, and produced domestically.


The TV-sets produced in Ruza are subject to 3-stage control, and one sample from each lot being dismantled to match international standards.
