Appointment of the New General Manager of Lenovo Russia

Mr. Bai Yuli was appointed the Acting General Manager of Lenovo Russia starting from May 4th, 2009.

Ever since the launch of consumer business in Russia in 2008, Lenovo has enjoyed hyper growth and share gain in the Notebook market. Despite of the market dynamics and decline of the PC industry, Lenovo managed to take the 5th place in the Russian consumer notebook market with 6.3% market share and overall 4.5% in total notebook market (based on newest IDC report). As one of the top PC vendors in the world, Lenovo obtains 7% share for PC market worldwide and over 30% share in China. We have great opportunity to improve our Russian business and become the leader in Russia. It is clear to us that the success in Russian market demands the best partners, robust product portfolio and strong leaders.

Yuli has been working for Lenovo for 14 years and served in many important posts in China and Russia. Before his new assignment as the acting GM of Russia, he was GM of Russian COE and Vice GM of Lenovo Russia. Under his leadership, our consumer business has enjoyed great growth in the declined Russian IT market.

Mr. Denis Reshin, the former GM of Lenovo Russia will pursue his new career development. Denis had been working for Lenovo since 2005 when Lenovo completed the acquisition of IBM PC division. He was instrumental to the successful transition of Russia from Lenovo EMEA to Lenovo EMG (Emerging Market Group) in 2007.

Lenovo has long term commitment to the Russian business development and determined to invest in the market. The company has recruited many talents to strengthen our partner management, product support, sales, marketing and customer services. Lenovo will continue the efforts in searching best Russian talents for the Russian business success.
