New Toshiba Laptop Can Display 3D and 2D Simultaneously, Comes in July

Aiming high on the awesome scale, Toshiba today unveiled the 'world's first glasses-free 3D notebook able to display 3D and 2D content at the same time on one screen', a machine called dynabook Qosmio T851/D8CR which is scheduled for a July release in Japan.

 Tosh 2D-3D

The T851/D8CR features a 15.6-inch (1920 x 1080) Clear SuperView LED-backlit display and makes use of distinctive 3D Window technology which enables 3D and 2D content to be showcased at the same time (in different windows of course). Better yet, the 3D content requires no specialized glasses to be seen so that's +1 awesome for Toshiba's laptop.

The incoming dynabook (which runs Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64bit) also packs a 2.3 GHz Core i52410M processor, 8GB of RAM, a 750GB hard drive, a GeForce GT 540M graphics card, a BDXL-supporting optical drive, a SpursEngine image processor which powers 2D to 3D real-time conversion, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, Harman Kardon speakers, a USB 3.0 port and a HDMI output.

The dynabook Qosmio T851/D8CR's price tag was not revealed.
