MICS and Lenovo Companies Hold First Joint Conference in Moscow.

 MICS, a classical PC distribution company with more than 16-year experience on Russias market, jointly with Lenovo, one of the key PC-producers in the world, held a joint conference for their Moscow partners and mass media.

The key reason to meet was a distribution agreement that the companies signed in late 2007.

MICS business relations with leading producers of laptops, LCD-displays, and peripherals have a long history. In this regard, seeking expansion of its portfolio, MICS sees Lenovo as a strategic partner. Under the new agreement, through its network of partner companies MICS has aggressively started vending Lenovo solutions: laptops, peripherals, desktops, LCD-displays, multimedia projectors.

Denis Reshin, director general for Lenovo in Russia, says signing the agreement with MICS gives Lenovo a reliable and perspective partner. The new relations dont seek redistribution of the market but expansion of the vendors partner companies network, ha adds.

115 representatives of PC-companies and PC-oriented mass media attended the conference that was held on January 17 in a Moscow conference centre.

Vladimir Lisogorsky, director general for MICS, delivered an opening speech to start the business part of the event. Later a brief presentation outlined the history and achievements of the company, work structure, advantages to cooperate with MICS, partner support oriented marketing policy, and some of MICS reporting information on laptop selling results in 2004-2007.

Denis Reshin, general director of Russian representation, opened a series of Lenovo presentations. In his salutatory word Mr. Reshin outlined the structural changes of the company, prospects of brand development on Russias market, and set a focus of work with MICS Company as a new distributor.

As the conference went on, representatives of Lenovo expanded on competitive advantages of new products and technical solutions, placed interesting accents on the technological know-hows of the vendor. The presentation went down in an upbeat interactive way.

Participants attention was also attracted to marketing support of partners implemented by the vendor directly and through MICS Company. Issues of multi-tier authorization programs were considered in details. The presentation ended up presenting gifts from Lenovo to the most intelligent conference participants. Q&A slipped to an informal part of the evening.

"One-on-ones" were carried out with MICS and Lenovo managers. All the participants had a chance to chat to old friends and meet new business partners. The party went down in a warm and friendly fashion since personal relations in business are in no way inferior to working conditions.

Vladimir Lisogorsky, general director of MICS, summarized the event: "Signing a distribution agreement with Lenovo fully meets our strategy of business development. In particular, our inventories were supplemented with ThinkPad solutions, which are traditionally associates with state-of-the-art technological achievements. It is an essential product for the corporate segment of the market. We do believe that cooperation with such a powerful manufacturer as Lenovo will be mutually advantageous and considerably will strengthen positions of MICS in Russian market as the successful distributor of computer technics ".
