New business range laptops of recently renewed Toshiba Portege and Tecra series have arrived to the MICS Distribution Company warehouse.
Quite recently, Toshiba have unleashed next generation of the world’s lightest fully equipped laptops. Weighing just 779 grams and featuring 128GB solid state disk (SSD), the Portégé R600 is the ultimate laptop for style conscious professionals and consumers who want an ultra mobile computing solution without compromising on functionality.
The new laptop is instantly recognisable by its minimalist design and the grey silver magnesium case speaks to individuals who appreciate a sleek, contemporary look.
The Portégé R600 with its improved magnesium casing is an extremely strong and durable companion for any traveller. It uses an optional 128 GB solid state drive (SSD) - unlike a hard disk drive it has no moving parts, works silently and is very economical with energy consumption whilst providing extremely good performance. The Portégé R600 offers an extended battery life of up to eight hours.
The Portégé R600 comes with the latest Intel® Centrino® 2 CPU and a 12.1’’ LED backlit display offering crystal clear visibility both indoors and outdoors. This is made possible through the transflective screen, which enables the user to turn off the LED backlight and use a reflecting mirror embedded in the display to avoid light reflection. Further features include an embedded mobile broadband module producing data rates of up to 7.2 Mbps, WLAN, and Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR. The Portégé R600 also offers a rich set of advanced EasyGuard features ensuring security, durability and manageability. This includes a spill resistant keyboard, shock protected design, fingerprint reader and remote management possibilities.
A 7mm integrated Optical SuperMulti DVD Drive (ODD) is available, enabling the user to read/write DVDs. The component only weighs 75g, ensuring the R600 remains to be the lightest laptop on the market.
Tecra R10-118 is another remarkable model in Toshiba’s B2B laptop range. The new stylish and sleek Tecra is extremely robust and offers advanced management and communications features such as an embedded mobile broadband module. The Tecra R10 is predominantly aimed at senior and middle management using their laptops in meeting rooms, their homes and sometimes while traveling in small, medium and large sized businesses who want a robust, stylish product without compromising the screen size, quality or performance. The new laptop has an elegant silver coloured magnesium chassis which is only 28.7 mm thick. It has a rich set of communications features including an embedded Mobile Broadband WWAN/3G module which offers data rates of up to 7.2 Mbps, WLAN, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, five USB ports and one eSATA/USB combo port. An Express Card and SD card slot are also included to facilitate the use of peripherals.
